Design The different jobs in this department are Character Designers, Level Designers. The design department is responsible for designing the characters and levels in the game they basically draw out their designs for the games characters or levels. They will work with the Game Producers as they will need to know there designs and interpret them in the game and add them. Turn 10 Turn 10 is a games developer. A Game Developer is a company that makes a game and puts everything into the game like the models, levels and 2d sprites/images. Turn 10 is owned by the publisher Microsoft Studios they are used to develop their Forza series. A first party developer is a company who makes a video game console and develops for it like Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony. A second party developer is a company that basically develops games for the first party developers, they are higher up than third party developers. They may have some publishing agreements, but maintain independence. Some examples of second party developers Insomniac Games for Sony, Bungie for Microsoft and Rareware for Nintendo.
